I have been a licensed massage therapist since 1999. I believe in the importance and power of touch. I see massage therapy as preventive medicine. Currently, I am massaging seniors at Hearthstone Retirement Community, providing medical massage at Ballard Health Center and seeing private clients.

I have been teaching various styles of yoga since 2002. My practice has evolved with time, personal injuries and inspiration from amazing teachers – thank you Laura Yon, Christy Fisher, Lara Catone, Janice Gates and Sara Avant Stover! Currently, I am teaching yoga privates which I really enjoy. I am able to bring my orthopedic nursing experience, massage therapy knowledge and acupuncture training to formulate a sequence for clients that will benefit their healing process. I know what it feels like to be injured and want desperately for your body to heal. I also understand the need for support and encouragement in the healing process.

Dance has always been a passion for me. I received my Zumba Instructor Training in 2014 and I have taught zumba and senior dance over the years. I love the mindfulness, joy, and transformation that dance evokes. I am grateful to my dance teachers who continue to teach me the art and alchemy of dance.

I was born in New Zealand and moved to the United States, with my family when I was 10. I am a mother of a daughter and son who are my spiritual teachers on a daily basis. I care deeply about all parents having a strong support network. I am passionate about women having healthy pregnancies and empowering births, promoting first relationships between parent and child, Pre-K for all children and poverty alleviation. I am most inspired by love, resilience, nature and the feminine rising.
